A Different Style of Ministry
My journey began in 1952 and thank God I am still going strong, liberating God’s people through His word. I grew up in the Contra Costa County housing projects, by the grace of God, I made it through many hard times. Under the guidance of my mother, the late Missionary Eddie Beatrice Pettiford, who taught by living a godly life, I am fulfilling a prophesy made in June 1970. My grandfather, the late Bishop Otho Pettiford, relayed a message (prophesy) to my mother that God told him I would be a preacher. Eight years later that prophesy became real, I accepted the call to the ministry. The subtitle should read ‘from the projects to the pulpit, the streets and the world’.
Why use the motto or slogan ‘Liberating God’s People’? Even though we are freed from sin, many are still bound mostly due to lack of knowledge and failing to grow. The more we learn about God’s truth, the more we find that we can be set free.
Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed in him, If you continue in my word, then you are my disciples indeed; 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:31-32 (RKJNT)
Free from our past, old mistakes, troubles and cares of this world. We are in the information-age, the internet is now a very important platform for today’s ministry. My children and grandchildren have helped me realize times are different and we need to adjust.
We present “graphic daily word”, let’s face it Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Google Plus, etc. are extensions of the pulpit.
