“But when you ask God, you must ask with faith and not doubt.” from James 1:6 (paraphrased)
Scripture for the day
1 Peter 1:3-5 (BBE) Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who through his great mercy has given us a new birth and a living hope by the coming again of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 And a heritage fair, holy and for ever new, waiting in heaven for you, 5 Who, by the power of God are kept, through faith, for that salvation, which will be seen at the last day. [read 1 Peter 1:3-12]
Thought for the day
The power of faith—the strength or ability to perform or carry out the act of faith; the ability to act on trust in God. Putting faith into action is yet another way of saying this; keep in mind Jesus says in Acts 1:8 (WEB) “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you“. There are seven Greek words for power in the NT; δύναμις dynamis meaning strength power, ability is what Jesus used in this verse. We benefit when we make use of this power when we act in faith knowing that God has given us power—be blessed, Tim.
